After being established for three years, Nottingham city centre luxury fashion boutique Gigi Bottega is expanding its business by incorporating the adjoining unit into its layout and refurbishing its current unit to create a new and innovative shopping experience in the city.

The store, which is located at the northern entrance of shopping arcade Flying Horse Walk, currently sells a wide range of women’s designer fashion and accessories but will soon be stocking the best in menswear too. The business will also be adding a luxury lounge bar upstairs from the boutique serving the finest Italian handpicked wines, cocktails and food, providing the customer with a new exciting shopping experience. Work has already begun on the grand refurbishment, with the opening of the menswear department planned for September. The work being undertaken involves major alterations to the adjacent shop including removing sections of a connecting wall at ground floor level, to serve as a walkway between the women’s and men’s departments. The bar on the upper floor will open later in the year and will serve quality food and drink, with plans also to host exclusive events such as wine tastings and fashion nights. After making some historical discoveries, including caves, beneath the building during the course of the work, Gigi Bottega has decided to make the most of them and will be unveiling their exciting plans for these later in the year. Progress can be tracked online through the company’s social media accounts @gigibottega on Twitter and Instagram, and ‘GigiBottegaUK on Facebook. This is a major expansion for Gigi Bottega, who launched their boutique in Flying Horse Walk in September 2015, selling designer fashion from global brands including Stella McCartney, Versace, Gucci and Saint Laurent as well as exclusive contemporary labels such as Pinko and Federica Tosi. “We are so excited about that we are doing at Gigi Bottega and can’t wait for the opening of our new menswear department and also the lounge bar,” said Gabriella Trivigno, co-owner of the business. “We look forward to announcing our exciting plans for the rest of the building too in due course.” The boutique is the perfect fit for Flying Horse Walk, which is located in Nottingham city centre just off the Old Market Square, connecting South Parade to St Peter’s Gate. The luxury shopping arcade is home to a range of both national and independent retailers, selling a range of specialist goods such as art, fashion, interiors, home technology, gifts and crafts, food and drink and bridal wear, as well as hosting a barbershop and alterations service. Rob Spencer, a director at FHP Property Consultants, the managing agents for Flying Horse Walk, said: “It’s great news that Gigi has decided to take over the adjoining unit and expand their premises, as well as add the luxury cocktail bar. It will make a great addition to the current offering in the arcade and will complement the boutique and fellow retailers, adding a different offer to the centre for customers. “I’m very excited to see the finished product when it is all complete – I’m positive shoppers will look forward to seeing the new ranges as well as treating themselves to a cocktail or two.”
